A Resistance Booster, also known as Toughness Booster, is a utility in Dying Light. It is known to help Crane take less damage from enemies.
Effects
This Booster temporarily increases the player's endurance, allowing them to take more punishment than usual. Combat scenarios like boss fights will be much easier with Resistance Boosters. It does not, however, affect the player's health gauge.
Think of Resistance Boosters like putting on an armored vest. When using a Resistance Booster players will take less damage from specific damage sources, including, hits from firearms, melee weapons, and zombie attacks. Explosive damage is also somewhat reduced, but it does not affect fall damage. Should a player be expecting trouble, Resistance Boosters will surely come in handy.
This Booster's primary uses are for bosses or tough enemies like Volatiles, situations in which players are cornered by deadly foes, as well as Quarantine Zones. Use it to survive intense combat and boss fights; it will make a sizable difference and significantly reduce the need for Medkit usage. Keep in mind, Resistance Boosters alone won't be enough to win a fight; strong weapons and/or other Boosters are recommended, such as the Stamina and Speed Boosters.
The blueprint to craft this item is unlocked via the Boosters Survival skill. The buff given by this booster lasts 45 seconds. With the skill Booster XL the buff lasts 1 minute 30 seconds.
